We collect as little as possible, share none of it with anyone, and tell you exactly what we do with it. Here's the long version.
01. what we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us, and only what we need to do our job. Specifically:
- Email address. When you sign up for our newsletter, start a free trial, or buy a plugin, we collect your email address. We need it to send you your license file, support replies, and (only if you opted in) future announcements about new plugins.
- Purchase information. When you buy a plugin, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your name, billing address, and payment details. We don't see or store your card number — Lemon Squeezy handles that. We do receive a record of your purchase (email, order ID, plugin purchased, amount).
- License usage data. When you activate or deactivate a license, our server records the email associated with the license and which machines it's currently active on. This is what enables the two-machine license system.
We do not collect: your name (unless you give it to us), your location, your IP address (beyond the ephemeral logs every web server keeps), your browsing behavior, or anything about what you do inside the plugin.
02. what we don't do
We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, or any third-party tracking. The Lurelin website has no cookies beyond what's strictly necessary for the site to function.
We don't sell, rent, share, or trade your information with anyone for any reason. Ever.
We don't send marketing emails to people who haven't asked for them.
03. third parties we use
To run Lurelin Audio, we use a small number of third-party services. Each one only receives the data they need to do their specific job:
- Cloudflare — hosts our website and license server. They handle infrastructure-level data like server requests; they don't have access to your purchase details.
- Lemon Squeezy — processes payments and handles tax compliance. They receive your purchase information directly and have their own privacy policy.
- Resend — sends transactional and newsletter emails on our behalf. They store your email address so we can send you license files and updates.
04. your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we have about you. Email [email protected] and we'll send it.
- Correct any inaccurate information.
- Delete your information. Email us and we'll remove it (except where we're legally required to retain purchase records for tax purposes, in which case we'll anonymize what we can).
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us.
- Object or restrict our use of your information.
If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA. We honor all of them. Just email [email protected].
05. how long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you have an active license or are subscribed to our newsletter. If you delete your license or unsubscribe, we remove your information from our active systems, with two exceptions:
- Purchase records are retained for at least 7 years to comply with US tax law.
- Anonymized analytics (like total downloads or sales by month) may be retained indefinitely; these contain no personally identifying information.
06. children
Lurelin Audio is intended for adult use. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we've inadvertently collected information from a child, email us and we'll delete it.
07. changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated version at this URL and update the "last updated" date above.
